We originally met with Kristen Jones, Sales Manager at Monmouth Beach Shutters. Kristen was very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and very helpful to us in choosing our plantation shutters. She educated us regarding the high quality of MB Shutters, which are produced from real wood (high-grade Poplar) vs typical poor quality imported shutters (synthetic materials). She showed us a ‘cutaway’ of a typical synthetic louver and we were surprised to find that the interior was composed of a ‘cardboard-like’ material!
Kristen was very patient and answered all of our questions. She then went over the various choices available and based upon her recommendations, we were able to make an informed decision and choose our preferred style.
Afterwards, we set up an ‘in-home’ appointment for measurements to be taken. Kristen measured each window individually, even windows that were ‘technically’ the same size, before writing up our order. We really appreciated the extra care to ensure that our shutters were a perfect fit.
Kristen was accompanied by Jim, one of the owners, who measured the 2-story foyer window, which required some ‘ladder work’. Jim was also very pleasant and accommodating and we found MBS pricing to be competitive, especially considering the quality of the product.
Our custom plantation shutters arrived as promised and Jim called to arrange installation. We were pleasantly surprised that Jim remained to supervise the entire installation process. Jim and his installers were careful and respectful of our home and meticulous in their work.
